Valley High School Helping Hands Project
Utilizes LSSWMD Recycling/Litter Trailer
91 student
and adult volunteers from Valley High School that
took part in our October 17th, 2009 Valley's Helping
Hands projects. This is the second time this group has
performed community services in and around Valley Local
School District. Our first work date was April 25th, 2009.
We hope to continue to have two work days each year, one
in the spring and one in the fall.
Your
LSSWMD Recycling/Litter Trailer was a tremendous
help to us this past weekend. Our volunteers made use of
almost every tool in the trailer and accomplished a great
deal of work in just a few hours. We greatly appreciate
your staff delivering and picking up the trailer to the
school for us. We hope to use it again for our projects
next year. We will let you know as soon as we determine
the dates.
I have
also attached a file showing just some of the many improvements
we accomplished on Saturday. Included are the improvements
made to the homes of three elderly area residents.

Sandy
Carpenter, VHS Helping Hands Coordinator/Advisor, has
all the forms you requested and will provide them to you
when you pick up the trailer later today.
Thanks
again for the use of this great tool trailer for our community
service project.
