TIRE
COLLECTION EVENT
The
Lawrence-Scioto County Solid Waste Management District recently
afforded Union and Fayette Townships in Lawrence County
the opportunity to cleanup township roadways. This program
was available through special assistance provided by Ohio
EPA. Work crews from both Townships along with Community
Service workers collected nearly 2000 tires throughout the
two townships. This opportunity will be available in the
near future for Nile and Washington Townships in Scioto
County.
WANT
TO GET RID OF AN EYESORE AND GET A FREE MEAL?
The
Lawrence-Scioto County SWMD will partner with “The Friends
of Ironton” and House of Kustoms to make Lawrence County
more beautiful. If you own a vehicle you want to dispose
of call House of Kustoms and they will haul it off. You
will receive a gift certificate to an Ironton restaurant.
You must have a title or receipt before the vehicle can
be hauled away. For more information or to schedule the
removal of a vehicle, call House of Kustoms 740-532-2613
or Solid Waste District 740-532-1231.
