"Caught Green Handed"

The new "Caught Green Handed" program through the Lawrence-Scioto County Solid Waste Management District is underway. The LSSWMD Staff are out and about in both counties trying to catch area recyclers. If you get "Caught Green Handed" you will receive a goodie bag from the District, a t-shirt and a $25 gift card. Be sure to smile, you will be photographed and your picture will be published in local newspapers, and on our website. This program was developed as a way to encourage recycling in the counties, as well as a thank you for use of the trailers.

Mr. and Mrs. Bob Armstrong from South Point were Caught Green Handed at the South 3rd Street, Ironton location (Lawrence County). There are three (3) locations in the City of Ironton. For their green effort Mr. and Mrs. Armstrong were awarded a $25.00 Visa card, a t-shirt, and an information packet for their GREEN effort! Each month the Lawrence-Scioto County Solid Waste Management District visits various location throughout the district rewarding local recyclers. Father Joe Klee was Caught Green Handed at the Portsmouth Square location in Portsmouth Ohio (Scioto County). For his green effort Father Joe was awarded a $25.00 Visa card, a t-shirt, and an information packet. Each month the Lawrence-Scioto County Solid Waste Management District rewards a local recyclers.
